Ladies, Please Clean Your Make-Up Brushes.
I know, I know, cleaning your make-up brushes can be a real hassle. It is, however, for a flawless make-up applications and in the maintenance of a healthy skin, a very important step.
Not only cleaning your make-up brushes is necessary to keep them in the best possible shape, it will also help your skin stay healthy by eliminating bacteria that may cause breakouts.
Many products are available to clean your brushes. My favorite is Japonesque Profesional brush cleaner. Light citrus smelling it will dissolves all types of make-up products (powder, liquid, wax based and adhesive). Disinfects and conditions the brushes as well.
Spray the cleaner on the brush. Brush the make-up brush back and forth on a clean paper towel and, voila, you’re done! The best part … the makeup brush will dry almost instantly! It’s great when you’re doing many applications back to back.
You can also use a shampoo to clean your brushes. Put a small amount in your hand, dip the brush then lather gently but thoroughly. Rinse in warm water, lay flat on clean towel to dry.
Any types of shampoo may be used. Remember, make-up brush is made out of hair, shampoo will work great on it.
How often should you clean your make-up brushes? Any synthetic brush used for liquid or creamy cosmetics, such as concealer, foundation, lip product, cream eyeshadow, cream blush, should be washed everyday. For all your other brushes I would recommend once a week or every other at the very least.
Keep them clean ladies!
