◊ A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words
When meeting with your stylist for the first time please keep in mind, we do not know anything about you or your personal taste.
So here’s a suggestion that works every time… Unless you can explain exactly what you have in mind, and even then a natural look may mean something to someone and something completely different to someone else, I recommend to cut out at least 5 pictures in magazines. Each picture doesn’t have to have the exact look you’re looking for — But for instance, in pic #1 you like the front of the hairstyle, in pic #2 it’s the way the bang sweeps across the forehead that appeals to you, in pic #3 your really like the natural look of the lips… etc. I find this to be the best possible way to convey to your stylist the vision you have for yourself.
Of course, if you can, have a trial and take all the guess work out of it! :-)
