Miami Make-Up Show Products Review

March 2, 2008

Here is a brief review of the products I bought last week at the Miami Make-up show.

TEMPTU airbrush silicon foundations and blush … the result is a flawless amazingly even and longer lasting coverage than anything else on the market. I was a bit nervous, as you never know how new products are going to perform. I am thrilled with the result and will never go back to my old water base airbrush formula.

I created some rosy cheeks with the TEMPTU blush formula and I can honestly say it looked better than the traditional powder or cream blush.
It was gorgeous, couldn’t have been more natural looking. The best part?… it won’t fade AT ALL.
This line is completely waterproof and do not worry about cheek to cheek dancing, the formula is non transferable. If you decide to meet your photographer for a trash the dress session the following morning, go to bed without removing your make up and you will wake up without the need to reapply — You gotta to love it!

MAKE UP FOREVER Face and Body liquid make-up… Love, Love, Love!
Because of its waterproof formulation, going to the pool or the beach is never a problem. In the fashion world, this foundation is most used due to its resistance to extreme conditions such as heat and perspiration. Again an awesome product when getting hitched in South Florida. :-)

MAKE UP FOREVER Acqua liners and super lipglosses. I hate the look of long wear lipstick and how dry it makes my lips. I love gloss but always was on the look at for one that would last longer — Look no more!
The super waterproof formula of theses pencils can be used to reshape of heighten lipcolor. Very long lasting and non-transferable, they hold for hours even in extreme condition. The pencils are water and saliva resistant and can be used on the entire mouth. Nothing better! It’s a brand new product and the only thing I wish for, is more shades.
The super lipglosses wear their name well as they are the most lasting lipglosses I have used yet.

Billy b eyelash curler… excellent. When I took billy’s class he raved about it. I have Shu Uemura lash curler ($15) that I like, and also the one made by Revlon ($5.99) that I like as much. So when billy introduced his, I thought why buy another expensive curler when the cheaper one work as well? Let me tell you, there is a difference!! The curler fits well in my hand and the extra curviness helps prevent the dreaded eyelash pull. The curl is longer lasting and looks better, there is an actual curl versus just a bent. What more could a girl ask for?

I used 4 of Billy’s brushes and wished I had bought all the one from his essential collection. They are all around better brushes and really get the job done. Good brushes make all the difference in the world.

My favorite is #12 an all around brush for blending and smudging

I just started with airbrush and do not like Dinair. I’m assuming most alcohol based airbrush stuff is similar. I was wary of Temptu because of the silicone, fearing the dreaded sludge effect here in Hawaii. After all this me, does Temptu still have your seal of approval?
    Thx
