Writing this post is actually making me uncomfortable. I debated whether or not to publish it. After much thinking I decided I would feel better once my side of the story was expressed, hence the post’s title: there’s always 2 sides to a story. After all what’s fair is fair!

A Key West vendor that I work closely with has made me aware of a, less than glowing, review written about me on a popular wedding board. At first, the negative backlash from this young lady rolled right off my back. Then, after realizing she actually had some of my bookings worried about my services, it really started to get to me.

First of let me begin by saying that I take great pride in my work and ethics and go out of my way to exceed my clients expectations. I love my work and all it entails.

So here it goes…
I was 30 minutes late for my appointment with this client. There was a mix up on my part with the timeline. Upon my arrival I apologized profusely to the bride who was understandably agitated — I know I would have been. To express how apologetic I was I discounted her services at the end, that’s how bad I felt. :-(

It is true my patient wore thin toward the end of the hair part of her appointment. She seemed so unhappy. Apparently, the chatting by her family was greatly irritating to her.
I realize things can get pretty loud during family gathering for such joyful event, but when she said: ” it’s a good thing I don’t have my gun with me…” That’s when I drew the line. I became extremely uncomfortable and proceeded to tell this lovely soul that perhaps she should finish her own hair. That was a mistake, I know. I did stay and finished my work thought.

On my way out her Mom apologized for her daughter’s behavior and thanked me for all my patience. That was a first for me.

There, I feel better! Now, without further ado, let’s get back to the making of beautiful hair and make-up. See you all soon my lovelies!
