MAC Sonic Collection Mineralized Blush

No beloved readers, Studio Marie-Pierre is not turning into a MAC blog… I swear!  I’ve just come across some MAC products lately that I really like, and just wanted to share.

As you may know, I have a thing for rosy cheeks.  They bring some much to a person’s face, and a make-up application, no matter how simple, isn’t complete without it.  I do own a rather large collection of blushes and after reading on several makeup forums how much everyone enjoys MAC mineralized blushes from the Sonic Chic collection, YOU KNOW, I had to find out for myself.  Friends, I have no regrets!

If you’re into rich, vibrant colors these will without a doubt appeal to your senses, big time!  These blushes are silky and blend extremely well and the greatest pay off is the no-need  to reapply.  Nice.  The texture and pigments remind me of Nars Blushes.  The only downside with Nars, is mid day I always have to touch up.  Who has time?

I played with all the colors at the MAC store in Miami and purchased 2 out of the 9 shades available. My favorite is Gentle.  Described as a Raspberry with gold pearl, it’s gorgeous on darker skin like mine as well as on lighter skin.  Although, all the blushes from this collection contain a very fine shimmer, it doesn’t show up on your face once blended, and is totally safe for photography.  You won’t look greasy I promise.

GLEEFUL is described as a pink with gold.  On me it looks more orange with brown undertone. Very warm color.

These rockin’ blushes may be a tad intimidating.  They are extremely pigmented and to those of you who prefer a light touch of blush, I would recommend to use a fan brush.  They do blend easily though, and a softer look is not a problem.  So from poppin’ cheeks to romantic glow, all is possible depending on how your swing your brush! :-)

I have been meaning to comment on this for a long time! I am INLOVE with the Mac Mineralize collection. It feels phenomenal on and the results are exactly what you’d expect from Mac. Amazing! Even John has commented on how much he likes it! Now what guy (straight guy) notices make up?I have been using the Dainty blush. My cheeks naturally turn pink so I just wanted something to more or less match my natural flush to help me create cheekbones. It’s perfect! I even use it with just my Mac tinted moisturizer to add a little definition and glow to my apples & cheek bones as if I just went for a nice walk in the sun. Last for hours too! VERY happy with the way it photographs too, as long as you get the right colors for your skin!
