Clarisonic Skincare Brush – First Impression

I’ve only been using my Clarisonic for 5 days, and as the weeks progress I will update the status of my results. As of right now I really am impressed.  Let me start by saying that I am very diligent about cleansing my face regularly and thoroughly twice a day.  So last night I proceeded to my normal routine, a pea size a Murad Essential- C cleanser in my hand followed by finger circling motion all over my face then rinsed.  I then decided to cleanse again with Clarisonic to see if anything else would come off.

Lovelies, I was amazed by all the stuff my first cleansing had left behind!  The bristles on the brush had picked up particles of make-up totally invisible to the naked eyes…  And I thought I was doing well my skin washing routine.

After seeing first hand how much make-up was left on my skin, I can understand the manufacturer’s claims: “Clarisonic removes greater than 6X more makeup and actually increases product absorption – making the skin more receptive to skin care ingredients (up to 61% in a recent study). Skin is demonstrably hydrated, more even-textured, and suffused with a beautiful glow.” That really makes sense.

The Clarisonic caries a hefty price tag ($195.00), and in addition to the initial expenses, I noticed that I have to use more than my usual pea size in product in order to get the right slippage from the brush.  So you will have to spend more money on product as well.
Also, I can easily see the negative effect from over exfoliating if using the normal skin brush head on the highest setting (the kit come with 2 brushes one for sensitive skin and one for normal and offer several power settings).  For me, and I don’t have easily irritated skin, I found the sensitive brush on the lower setting was plenty.

Overall great product!
