Clarisonic Versus Neutrogena Wave

The best way to brighten your skin is to exfoliate on a regular basis. You can include in your skin care regimen product with glycolic acid, or use a device such as the clarisonic brush which I reviewed and truly love.

After ordering my Clarisonic brush ($195.00) I remembered my friend Kim raving about a drugstore version that promises great results.  Because of the thrill it gives me to find inexpensive products that equals the one of a pricier one I gave Neutrogena Wave ($13.99) a whirl.

This kit comes with 14 single-dose cleansing pads and the wave unit itself.  For an inexpensive gadget the wave is well designed.  It’s easy to hold even when water splashes on the handle and cleans pretty well.  After using it, my face felt soft and refreshed without being dried out.  The salicylic acid may helps pimples stay at bay and the menthol is a nice refreshing touch.
For those of you with easily irritated skin, BEWARE: sodium laureth sulfate is listed as the second ingredient, so don’t use it if your skin is sensitive.
I didn’t care too much for the smell, too soapy for my personal taste and as Mr. Studio pointed it out, the one-use cleansing pads rate abysmally low on the environmentally-friendly scale. He is right, plus I much prefer using my own cleanser.

The Wave is not an absolute must buy and I have the feeling the novelty of this handeld-buzzing-vibrating-gadget may wear off sooner rather then later.
