IPL Quick Update
Monday November 3, 2008
I have to start by raving about Dr. Lisa Grunebaum. As you all know, I was pretty freaked out about the zebra appearance my face was sporting after my first IPL treatment; That was Thursday. On Friday the stripes became light scabs and the thought of scaring made me CRAAAZY! By the way, Mr Studio was no help in alleviating my fears, he kept mentioning how bad it looked. Men!
On Friday afternoon I couldn’t stand it anymore and called the Dr’s office. She was gone for the day, the receptionist gave me her email. I sent her a quick note, she replied pretty much immediately. The emails went back and forth regarding my post appearance. She was caring, completely reassuring by saying she was there for me, wanting to make me happy, and was confident everything would be okay. She also reminded me to wear 70SPF sunscreen and a hat. I felt better. On Sat I emailed her again (is that harassment?)
and she AGAIN replied promptly in her usual caring manner. I left her alone on Sunday and first thing this morning Dr Grunebaum called to see how I was doing. That is some Doctor!
The scabs have 90% fallen off, the skin is a tab pink. I’m a lot less worried as I write and continue to hope my skin will look better than before the treatment. I’m keeping my fingers crossed… tightly.
