Blood Orange+White Pepper=Bliss

Ahhhhhh bliss blood orange+white pepper body butter…  Not love at first sight though.

40,000 votes from Bliss, Sephora clients, and W Hotel guests making this the winning fragrance in Bliss 2008 ‘eau’-lection did nothing to convince moi to open my wallet to this body butter.

In general I love body butters. My skin has a tendency to get dry under the Key West ocean and sun, I need all the moisture I can get.  I like my butter SWEEEEEET and TANGY.  Vanilla, grapefruit, orange, jasmine always elate my senses.   White Pepper on the other hand… a complete turn off.

The other day I received a sample from Sephora and quickly tossed it aside in the “forgotten bathroom drawer”, where I keep products that I don’t intend to use.  A little later I came home and could smell this amazing aroma wafting off Mr. Studio as he moved about the office.  I grab him by the waist, come here baby, and inhale deeply.  “WHAT IS THAT?  You must tell me immediately.”

Alas, it was Bliss Orange+white Pepper Body Butter.

I ended up hiding the last bit of the sample and used it after my next shower.  The scent is divine.  The white pepper somehow balances out the orange making it just tangy enough.  It’s rich and moisturizing, but the texture is light, not greasy.  I tell you DIVINE.
