False Eyelashes

I receive a lot of emails asking which types of lashes I prefer and which ones look most natural.  You can read here about mink eyelashes but for something more affordable, drugstore brands are probably your best bet.

There are two types of lashes, flared also called clusters applied individually, and the strips.  For my brides I always use the individual lashes as I find them to photograph beautifully.  They’re also very long lasting, as in several days long lasting.  Nice.  As far as applying the individual lashes to your own self, though, it’s nearly impossible, unless you’re doing outer corners only.  Otherwise, the amount of precision the application requires to do the whole top lash line is tremendous, and having one eye shut while doing it makes the whole process ridiculously challenging.  You can try…   let me know how it goes.

The strips on the other hand, after a bit of practice, are a lot easier to handle and the application far less tedious than their counterpart.  Depending on the style you buy they may look like spider legs, so be careful when choosing.  I’ve tried many of them and MAC popular number 7 is a good choice although not my favorite.  For me, the falsies that never let me down are Ardell InvisiBands Demi Wispies- Black.  As you can see on the pictures the bands have lots of tiny hair of different lengths, and THAT lovelies is what gives the lashes their super natural look.  Try them out you will never go back to anything else.
