What’s Better Than One Wedding… Two Weddings!
Monday January 19, 2009
Every time Mr. Studio and I look at our wedding pictures we get giggly, our wedding was the best wedding we ever went to! Aside from 2 things, I’ll get to that in a minute, I loved absolutely everything about it. The ceremony was held in a 13th century Cathedral in my home town Antibes. I was baptized and also did my first communion there, it was very meaningful. We rocked out an amazing reception at Hotel Du Cap Eden Roc where the food and the cake were to die for. How can you go wrong on the French Riviera, hello!
Now the two things…
First the dress. I really did a mediocre job with that part of the planning. It was made from scratch by a designer friend. The friend in question is not to blame (he’s gonna kill me
) as he did exactly what I wanted him to do. The result was SOOOOOO BOOOOORING. Simple A line spaghetti straps white gown, with tiny little covered silk button running down the back. It wasn’t horrible or anything, and I felt pretty as I was walking down the aisle with my beloved Grand Pa, it’s just that when I peak at the dress through the little window in the preservation box I still can’t believe I wore something so blah, it just wasn’t me. So make sure you absolutely are nuts about your dress. Second the PHOTOGRAPHER. It was bad, very, very bad. All posed, stiffed, uncreative shots of the ceremony and none, zero, nada, of the reception. We only have about 30 pro pictures all together!!! That really bugs me. One word of advice brides to be, spend money on the pics and yourself, it’s your wedding, and you should feel as beautiful as ever and have splendid pictures to prove it. I didn’t, that may be an excuse for another wedding?
The other day, I came across Mariana Hardwick an Australian designer. One of the gowns below from her Heirloom Collection, would be mine if I was going to do it again. I love the vintage feel and amazing details of these dresses. Oh, and I would also get hair extensions, I LOVE the model’s hair.
Which one of these beauty do you like best?

I love the first and last
