Hello Kitty Collection For MAC… Again
Wednesday February 25, 2009
The commotion the “Hello Kitty Collection for MAC” caused on the blog sphere really pushed my desire to see for myself what the hoopla was all about. I’m eating my words right now or at least some of it… Sorry Ms. Kitty!
I purchased the Lucky Tom Palette, Glitter Eyeliner, Plush Mascara, and both pigments, deep blue green and milk.
Here are my thoughts.
Lucky Tom Palette has a nice mix of dark and light colors. The shadows, aside from Paradisco, are highly pigmented and layer beautifully. This palette is in my opinion more geared toward the warmer skin color and I am crazy about it. Go figure!
Cream Royal: yellow with gold.
Paradisco: sheer golden coral with golden shimmer.
Stylin: medium violet blue with pearl.
Lucky Tom: dark charcoal grey with gold pearl.
Just so you know lovelies, collecting pigments is a hobby of mine. I have dozens of them, not necessarily for daily use, but just to have around. Some people collect bottles of beer, others pigments and glitters
I love to open the little jars and stare at their fantastic colors, feel their fabulous textures — they’re inspirational.
These two: Milk and deep blue green, are gorgeous and in MAC fashion extremely intense in their color deposit. Definite must for any MUA.
Glitter Eyeliner. They come in four colors: Girl Groove, Kitty Power, Glitter Puss, Her Glitz,
I purchased Glitter Puss.
In the past glitter eyeliner felt lumpy to me. This one is perfectly smooth, applies like a dream and once dry gives out just the right amount of glitter. I’m going back for more!
Plus Lash Mascara.
Sucks all around, but then again, I have yet to find a MAC Mascara that I like. They are much better choices out there, don’t bother.
