Cara… For The Pin Up in You
Thursday April 30, 2009
Getting Cara ready for her boudoir session with Studio Julie was so much fun. She was all about being a pin up, I was in heaven.
When she arrived at the studio I put her in hot rollers, then proceeded to airbrush the foundation.
For the eyes, I brushed all over the lids a Yabi pearly white eye shadow.
In the crease, I used MAC espresso and a tad of Paradiso to warm it up slightly. Go light on the crease you don’t want to see too much color just some definition.
I lined the eyes with MAC penultimate in black (I love that liquid liner – review coming soon) and extended the line to attain a winged up tip. I dabbed a black powder over the liquid liner to smooth out any imperfections.
For the bottom, I used the same black shadow.
I placed some false eyelashes and a light coat of mascara, filled Cara’s brow with a dark brown powder; I would have preferred to make them stronger, but I think it would have been too much for her — this was a nice compromise. On the cheeks I swiped a very light pink .
I first lined then filled her entire lips with Make Up Forever Aqua Lip Waterproof Lipliner Pencil in 8C, followed by Make Up Forever lipstick in Hollywood Red 206.
Cara au naturel
In hot rollers. Make-up is done.
After removing the rollers I teased the base of the curls, being careful not to break them apart too much.
Cara ready to have so fun.
Here’s a great tutorial:
Live gorgeously.
