laura mercier Marvelous Tinted Moisturizer
Thursday May 28, 2009
I started testing laura mercier tinted moisturizer about a month ago after receiving a sample at Sephora.
I didn’t want to write a review right away, because I just couldn’t come to grasp with the fact that it had dethroned, after the very first application, my beloved DuWop. Mon Dieu! The skeptic in me kept applying it every morning, scrutinizing my complexion throughout the day, to only come up with the same conclusion, just MARVELOUS.
This tinted moisturizer is a great choice for those of us who have a few things to cover but want to look natural. The company describes it as a light to medium coverage, I find it more light than medium for sure. I use an oil free moisturizer before its application, as I do not want my skin to soak it all up after cleansing, and it gives me healthy glow without making it look greasy. If your skin is oily, this formula also comes in an oil free version. The SPF 20 is an added bonus and so is “antioxidant vitamin complex that acts a s free radical scavenger to protect skin from even the most aggressive effects of the environment”. Living in Key West, my skin needs all the pampering it can get.
It’s also long lasting and stays color true. My shade is “sand” and, although on the warm side, doesn’t carry a hint of orange. I can’t stand orange undertone!
On the pricey side ($42) it is money well invested if in need of something sheer. If you’re looking for stronger coverage spare your wallet or try to get a sample before purchasing.
Highly recommend.

I have used Laura Mercier products for years..I worked for them for about a year. I love the tinted moisturizer. It blends so easily and is great for warm weather. And you gotta love that spf.
