L’Occitane Lavender Sachet, Shows Me The Way To The South Of France
Monday July 27, 2009
Growing up in the South of France, there was never any lavender shortage at my house.
My mom still uses the calming buds for everything, creme brulee, bath, pot pouri. Our maison was infused with the marvelous scent… It marked me for life, in a remarkable way.
I just came across L’Occitane Lavender Sachets ($8.00) while staying in Paris. We have exchanged living quarters with a French family, and in each one of their closets lays one of the sachet. A fabulous whiff emerges as you open the doors… back to the South of France.
The real thing
To me, there’s nothing worse than synthetic (man made versus from the actual plant) essentials oils, especially lavender. I’d rather use nothing at all rather than cheap imitation. BAH!
With L’Occitane you get the real thing, nothing but. 100% lavender buds straight from Provence in each sachet. Hello happy nostrils.
Light Scent
The strong aroma coming out of the sachet could be misleading, making you think your clothes will emerge as thought they’ve been drenched in perfume. Fear not, the scent is rather delicate won’t be overwhelming and dissipates quickly. It’s kind of like having your clothes dry outside in the fresh air near a lavender field.
And a Bonus!
Lavender can protect your valuable wardrobe from moths with a fragrance that will soothe your soul. Unlike mothballs which smell toxic and cedar which can stain clothing, lavender can be used to prevent, clean and store your clothing as a triple threat to a Moth invasion without any negative side effects. How about that!
