Highlighting the inside corner of your eyes has to be the most effective trick ever to open up, brighten and fake that blissful eight hour sleep. LOL!

I do it everyday, the application takes less than a minute, and even if I’m only wearing a tinted moisturizer and some mascara, it’s part of my makeup routine.

It’s a great trick for all the ladies with close set eyes as the lighter corners will give the illusion that the eyes are further apart.

I was browsing the web and stumbled upon Cargo EyeLighter.  I’ve never really had the urge to give this cosmetic line a try, but this photo got me intrigued.  I though the company did a great job at showing in a straight forward manner how to make your peepers pop.

Ladies say *HAAAAAA* to EyeLighting!

The dual applicator is nice

cargo-heartThe EyeLighter ($20) is a dual applicator.  On one end is a pointy sponge for the matte shadow, and on the other a round sponge for the shimmery eyeshadow.  The sponge fits inside two very small tubes filled with loose powder – one shimmery, one matte.  The shimmer is supposed to be used on the inner corner of your eyes, and the matte on the brow bone and outer corner of your eyes.  I’ve interchanged the placement of the shadows depending what I was going for, either way you get a brightening appearance that’s hard to beat.

Packaging ROCKS!

The fact that the shadows are dispensed on a sponge, eliminating the need to carry an extra brush, is pure genius.

Not waterproof but long lasting

Since the eyeshadows aren’t waterproof I wasn’t expecting much.  I figure, the shimmer on the inside corner of my eyes would be gone, *poof*, into thin air by the time lunch time rolled around.  Not so my pretties, although it faded some, the shadow was still there by evening.

You will like this product if….

• You’re looking for on the go packaging.

•  Don’t mind having to work a tad harder at blending — the matte eyeshadow is a little chalky.

•  You like having the option to switch around texture.

It’s back to school, no makeup please

This morning, my precious Jasmine put on a brand new dress and shiny shoes (she looked so adorable) and asked if she could put a *little* make up on.  She is 7 years old!  After hearing the predictable NO she said: ” Not even lip gloss Maman?”  I swear I was having a flashback. :silly:

Live gorgeously.
