Product Review — MAKEUP FOREVER HD High Definition Concealer

Happy Monday my lovelies!  Good weekend?

I had a chance to play with MAKEUP FOREVER HD concealer ($28).  Just like their hugely successful HD foundation, which has changed the way we look at foundation, this new product brings the art of concealing to a whole new level.

“This concealer creates a soft-focus effect, brightening the eye area while reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles for a natural, radiant look. The innovative soft silicone applicator enables precise application for a perfectly even finish on camera and in person.”

Dreamy & creamy

Oil free products have the tendency to not glide very well on the skin, and emphasize fine line and wrinkles. Not so with this concealer. Right off the back I loved its creaminess and blendability.  It offers a medium coverage that mimics skin texture, blurs imperfections to a soft focus effect.

Buh bye dark circles and blemishes

There are altogether 13 shades. Light, dark, neutral, beige, golden, ivory, pink the whole gamut.  With that type of color arsenal, anyone is bound to find the perfect color no matter your undertone.  Something else worth mentioning, Mufe HD concealers really help disguising blemishes and pimples without making it look like you’re trying too hard.  See ya zits!

Active ingredients

- Unicellular Green Micro Algae and Palmaria Palmata: Reduce dark circles, creating a brightening effect.
- Gatuline IN TENS: Lifts under eye area.  NICE!

Silicone applicator is nice but…

The rounded flat tip makes it for a precise product placement and can be sanitized in a cinch, which is important to me when doing back to back clients.  The problem is that I can’t blend with it.  I end up having to use another brush to get the job done, that means having two tools to sanitize — No likey.
This might be a mute point though, since most of you ladies don’t share brushes or applicators right? Right.

… you’re looking for an oil free concealer.
… you love to have a gazillion colors to chose from.
… you don’t mind having to use your finger/brush to blend.
… you want something long lasting.
