Product Review: MAKEUP FOREVER Invisible HD Foundation

I picked up a bottle of MUFE Invisble HD foundation ($40) last time I was at Sephora and even thought the color I was matched with was totally wrong for my skin I knew the potential of liking this was huge… I was right!

Soft focus, buildable coverage, natural

Feels like you have nothing on you skin (love that) but yet gives a beautiful finish and look gorgeous in photos, probably due the “soft focus” effect MUFE HD product are known for.  HD gives a medium to full coverage but I found that my applications could be as heavy or light as I needed while keeping a weightless feel.  The finish is semi matte which I really like.  HD does a good job of lasting all day, I don’t get nearly as oily at the end of the day as I do when compared to some other foundations or tinted moisturisers I’ve used.

Wide color range

With 25 shades everyone is pretty much guaranteed to find their match.  The colors include natural skin undertone (pink, yellow, beige, olive, peach) in light to medium and dark combination.  Impressive color range.

#125 Sand.  Looks light on my hand but matches my face perfectly.

Not sure what the Sephora Sales person was on when he gave me Almond #128 (for medium skin with beige undertones), I was 3 shades darker than my natural color!
Not sure either how I didn’t catch the tragic color mismatch until the following morning back in Key West (150 miles away from the nearest Sephora) when doing my makeup — It looked so blatantly wrong! I went online, ordered 4 different shades and got the perfect color #125 Sand (for light skin with beige undertones). BINGO.

Great packaging easy application

Love the pump.  It allows for a precise amount of product to be dispensed and the fact that it’s so hygienic makes me giddy with joy!  I use one pump for my entire face that I place on the back of my hand, then use my 190 Mac brush to apply.  I tried using my fingers it wasn’t as even.  I like to set my HD with my MUFE HD Powder.  It lasts pretty much all day.
