Lunchtime in France

Have you ever had a French fries sandwich?  Half baguette split in half with either ketchup, mayo, or Dijon mustard, your choice of merguez (spicy sausage), hot dog or hamburger topped with French fries.

Also known as “Sandwich Americain” (American sandwich, and don’t ask me why) these are a staple in the French diet. Needless to say I needed a siesta after that.
