Urban Decay Naked Palette Lives Up To Its Hype. And Me Looking Rather Illuminated

Get a load of that awesome makeup job! Here I am in San Francisco New Year’s Eve 1999- 2000 with El Genio (Just dating, no ring on finger yet) celebrating the arrival of the new millennium. Apparently I was feeling festive with my Urban Decay glittery gray eyeshadow.
Babe, why didn’t you tell me I look like a freakin’ light bulb?
I’ve held off to purchase anymore eyeshadows from the brand, finding their texture in general too metalic and glittery for my needs. So when naked came out, I gave it a shrug. Ignored the 1000′s positive reviews.
My disdain would only last so long.
I received my palette a couple of days ago and you guys it really lives up to its hype. First off, the packaging is so pretty and sleek it will fit in your purse. No problemo. The assortment of color and texture is hard to beat. Not all glittery, there’s a nice variety of matte and shimmer that can be used daily.
All the shades fall into the neutral category. From a natural to a smokey look the color story will satisfy any craving. Guaranteed.

Of course, I’ll take a dual ended eyeliner with both brown and black any day of the week. And the wee bottle of potion primer is a nice bonus too.

My little helper Jasmine likes it too.
I know this palette has been sold out just about everywhere. However it is NOT a limited edition. Don’t get sucked into greedy eBay sellers asking up to $80 for the palette. Who are they kidding! I assure you it’s not THAT worth it. I got mine on Ulta.com recently. Check there and if no longer available wait, I’m sure it’ll be back in stock soon.
