Product Review: Say Hola to Benefit CORALista

June 9, 2011

Benefit Coralista ($28) blush’s tropical, cheetah print box is just darling. The font total !

Coralista is a soft, light shimmery, (actually it’s more a sheen than a shimmer) coral-pink.  It looks really pink on my cheeks, which threw me off as usually the yellow in my skin makes everything looks even warmer.  It’s probably due to the cooler pink tones, almost like they tone done down the coral.

Now a lot of people have compared Corlista to Nars Orgasm, and even calling it a dupe. I beg to differ. And although this isn’t a product comparison write up here are some facts.

Orgasm has a definite shimmer and gold specks. Coralista has a light sheen and silver specks. The pigmentation in Coralista is much lighter than in Orgasm. I  find myself sweeping 2 to 3 times in order to get the right amount of color.  I was also really surprised to see my cheeks devoid of colors by 1pm. My face had eaten Corilsta. Gone. buh bye!  Orgasm stays in place all day.

Even though Coralista staying power was disappointing, I love the color! GORGEOUS. This blush should work well on both warm and cool beauties. Another thing you will notice as soon as you open the box is the smell.  Just like an orange pop. I like. And I usually prefer fragrance free cosmetics.
