Sharon | A Key West Beach Wedding

December 5, 2011

Sharon’s smile, warm personality and excitement really strike me when she arrived at the studio to get ready for her Key West Beach wedding.  And THEN, I noticed her GORGEOUS skin and big brown eyes. She sat in my chair, and simply said: “Make me beautiful for my wedding day!” YES!!!!

As you can see Sharon has incredible skin. I very lightly sprayed the airbrush foundation as she truly didn’t much coverage. Lucky girl!   On her eyes I used a combination of earthy colors which included my latest favorite: Embark by Mac and Soba. I applied a gel liner for longevity, that I smudged to soften.  She also wanted false lashes. Can never go wrong with falsies! On her lip (BTW notice her perfect cupid bow, I would love lips like that!) I used a coral pink to suit her warm undertone.

Sharon wanted to wear her hair somewhat up and very soft and beachy. She had some white flowers to accent. Just lovely!

Sharon it was such an honor to have you trust me with your hair and mkaeup on your big day.  I loved meeting you and hope to see you again during your next Key West vacation.XO

Jessica’s Half Up Half Down & Makeup | Ocean Key Resort Bride

December 2, 2011

Jessica’s style was truly unique and eclectic. Everything from her organic hairpiece, studded gown, and wedding theme was out of the ordinary. Hopefully I’ll get my hands on the pro pics soon!

In the meantime here’s a couple of photos of her hair and makeup.

During her trial I created 2 looks as she debated quite a bit between going all the way up or half up half down. One thing was clear: no tight curls!  With hair so long, thick and shiny, I was really hoping she would leave it somewhat down. We were thrilled with her final look!

Beside amazing hair, Jessica’s eyes skin and lips were to die for!  For her makeup she wanted a natural, sophisticated look. But more importantly Jessica wanted  to look like herself.  I call this style of makeup, natural with a touch of drama. Smile

Congratulations Jessica! XO

A Hint of Vintage for The Lovely Jennifer | Key West Destination Bride

November 25, 2011

I met Jennifer in her room at the charming Tropical Inn. There she was with her mom hanging out. We just had so much fun chatting and playing hair and makeup.

Her dark hair and blue eye contrasted just beautifully.  She reminded  me of a model in one of those French Vintage postcard. Love the final look.  Heart

Jennifer’s wanted to wear her hair all the way up and somewhat off to the side. Instead of gathering it up all to one side,  I decided to create of a sweep instead giving it a vintage, very chic feel. The sweep was created with pin curls that were define using a light wax then rolled up and secured. To die for hair flowers finish up the look perfectly.

Jennifer, I immensely enjoyed meeting you and your Mom, our laughter and conversation were wonderful! Wishing you  and your husband joy and happiness for now and forever. XO

How was everyone Thanksgiving?

We spent ours at the Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables. The beds alone make it worth the stay, and I usually only like my own bed. Then if you add the delish food, amazing pool, superb service and very nice fitness you end up with a fantastic experience. Truth is I could live at the Biltmore!

Here’s a few photos of my 2 little girls. I love them so much! Heart

Jasmine loves fountains.

and anything that involves water.  Smile

Cutie Serena.

Who loves the camera!

So much to be Thankful for. Have a great day.

Caitlin’s Hair & Makeup | Key West Marriott Beachside Hotel

November 22, 2011

I can’t even begin to tell you how much fun I had being a part of Caitlin’s wedding. All the girls were darling, and by the end of the night I was ready to make myself a bridemaids and rock the night away.

For Caitlin’s makeup we decided to stay within earthy natural tones. Caitlin has big blue eyes and this color choice was simply perfect. Notice the fabulous false eyelashes. Smile

Catlin was torn between wearing her hair all the way up or half up hald down. Truth is, she could have worn her either way and look stunning. But I am thrilled with her final choice.  Timeless and gorgeous!

Congratulations Caitlin! Thank you for letting me be a part of your special day. XOXO

Kristie’s Hair & Makeup | Key West Destination Wedding

November 4, 2011

Kristie arrived at the studio for hair and makeup on a rainy Saturday.  Rain or shine, nothing was going to take her contagious smile and incredible attitude away.  She was ready to get gorgeous and going down the aisle! I was so excited for her. I’m always excited for my bride.

She had brought in some clip on hair extensions to add length and body to her hair. She opted for the ever, so popular soft and beachy chignon. Love the hair piece!

For her makeup the obvious focus was her phenomenal eyes and flawless skin. Light airbrush foundation, rosy blush and slight contouring. On her eyes I used a combo of mauves and pink eyeshadows. Gel eyeliner on the top and a chocolate brown liner on the bottom, applied lightly just enough to frame her eyes. Light nude pink for the lips with a clear gloss on top.

Kristie ended up getting dressed at the studio which I loved. Simply ravishing, I was completely taken by her natural beauty and grace.

Congratulations Kristie and Cory,  wishing you nothing but a lifetime of happiness!!!! And Kristie, I would love to see you pro photos.xo
